If you want to see the Chilean coast, two of the main and most representative cities of Chile are just 90 minutes away from Santiago.
Viña del Mar, so called Garden City for the beauty of its parks and beaches, and Valparaíso, declared World Heritage by Unesco in 2003 for its interesting architectural value. Both cities are joined at the Ocean Pacific coast and offer great nightlife, culture and gastronomical activities.
Another option we recommend is the house of the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda in Isla Negra, picturesque coastal town located 120 kms (75 mi) from Santiago. Its museum keeps part of the literary patrimony, inspiration objects and the tomb of the poet. Visit hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 to 18:00.
